Economist by Training

Rosa holds an Msc in Global Market Economics from the London School of Economics as well as a Licenciatura from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid. She worked on projects at the World Trade Organisation as well as in the European Central Bank. In the former, she co-authored a paper on A Quantitative Assessment of Electronic Commerce.


Work Experience:

Close to 20 years in the Financial Services Industry

Rosa started her career at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities Division where she worked for 5 years. She acted as an advisor to major asset managers, banks and insurance companies in France and Switzerland. In 2006, she decided to move towards asset management joining Proxima Alfa Investments, then a joint venture between BBVA and Vega hedge fund, in the business development and marketing division. In 2008, Rosa moved to Switzerland and worked as a financial advisor and portfolio manager at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch for 7 years. She was promoted to senior portfolio manager in 2011 and managed over $1bn when she moved with her family to Japan in 2015. After two years living in Tokyo, where she actively studied Japanese language and art as well as programming, she is now living back in Switzerland. Rosa was rehired at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch in December 2017 where, in addition to manage and advise on portfolios, she is responsible for developing the tailor-made offering for UHNW clients across the bank. Using the Goal-based Investing approach and a strong component of digitalisation, she has helped raise in discretionary and advisory mandates close to CHF 3bn for the bank, of which 46% in net new money in the last 4 years. 


Other Activities and Hobbies

Multilingual and Artisitic

Rosa is fluent in English, French and Spanish, this latter being her mother tongue. She studied Japanese while in Japan and holds the N5 level Japanese Language Certificate. Given the current changes in technology, most notably blockchain, she has decided to actively study computer science to better understand the current environment of disruption. Rosa also likes to paint and is currently learning the art of Japanese ink-painting: Sumi-e and Nihonga, painting her first original work on a screen - Mount Fuji at Kawaguchi-ko to the right. Other hobbies include tennis, piano, skiing and water-skiing.
